Mo's Lounge Gown tester

So here goes my second blog...was longer between then I intended but since I'm really new at this and wanted to do a review I've put it off longer then I should have! Recently I tested a new gown.  Mo's Lounge Gown by Katrina Boin. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! I've made three...so far. Will be making many many more. So so easy and quick.  I made a 3, 5 and 8 for three of my grand daughters.

Kali and Mia, two of my gorgeous grands
Hi, Grandma Honey!!!

One of my Faves!

this is my Grand Katya's size 8 but haven't got it to her yet.

The sizes are from 6 months up to a 10. We're hoping to convince Katrina to go even bigger and up to adults! You can use ribbed knit on the collars like I did on the first two or foe like I did on the last one. The instructions are super easy and the pattern a very fast sew. I used a med weight knit for the first two and a really light weight for the last. I used my serger but she gives instructions for a regular sewing machine as well. Through Friday she has a coupon code for 25% off so be sure to take advantage of it! :)   I promise you won't be disappointed.

Coupon code RELEASE for 25%off til Friday.

Newbie Blogger. :)

So, I have NO clue what I am doing but everyone blogs, right? ;)

I'm a mother of three grown boys(to me)

who are all married and they all have children.  ALL girls.  In fact FIVE girls between the three of them. MY grands. MY heart. :D

I have been married to my husband for 11 years in April. He has many big boy toys so doesn't grudge me mine. Or at least doesn't say anything. We live in a small town in North Texas about 50 miles from Dallas.  This is my husband with one of our grand daughters, Katya Rae.

I wanted to start blogging as a way of sharing and recording what I really love to do. Sew. I have a full time "real" job that helps pay for what I love to do. :)  And since I test quite a bit the designers also like their testers to blog. Helps get their patterns out there and hopefully for other like people to see them and want to create using their patterns.

I  have been sewing for many many years (30 plus, more plus!) but within probably the last 8 I've started to do it a lot. I love to quilt but more recently I've been sewing for my grands and my new great nephew.

                                                                   (Isn't he a doll???!!)

I do quite a bit of testing for pdf designers and really like that as my REAL job allows along with my closest grands living an hour away from me. I love seeing all the new ideas and patterns come to life behind the scenes and love it when designers are receptive to maybe better or easier methods and I get to learn new methods as well. I also seem to collect (yes, collect...not hoard) fabric. LOVE fabric. And before I realized my grands would grow at the rate of a speeding bullet I bought 1 yard increments. Now I've graduated to a minimum of 2. LOTS more fabric. sigh.

So this was a very small start to my blogging experience. We'll see how it goes. Thanks for stopping by and seeing my small part of the world.
